Employ your domestic staff properly, without the paperwork
You do not need a company to be an employer. If you pay a housekeeper, gardener, nanny or driver, the law treats you as one — written particulars of employment, a legal minimum wage, leave, UIF and payslips. FlexiShift handles all of it from your phone.
Everything a household employer must keep
The rules for domestic work are specific, and FlexiShift applies them for you.
- A written employment contract you can generate and print in a minute
- The domestic minimum wage, with a 45-hour weekly maximum — work any days and hours that suit you, part-time included
- Night allowance and safe-transport duty for work after 18:00
- Accommodation deductions capped at 10% of the wage
- 15 days paid annual leave, plus sick and family responsibility leave
Payslips and UIF without a bookkeeper
Enter the days worked, and FlexiShift produces the payslip, the leave balance and the UIF figures. Switch UIF on once you are registered, and contributions are worked out and listed for you.
Foreign nationals and work permits
Record a permit type, number and expiry date. FlexiShift flags a permit that has lapsed or is about to, so you never employ someone whose papers have run out — the offence sits with the employer, not the worker.
Simple, and cheap
Households get a stripped-back version of the app — staff, roster, attendance, pay runs, leave, contracts and settings. Nothing about sites, contracts or head-office reporting. R50 a month plus R10 for each person you employ.
